Since 2016, we've been building ethical infrastructure that transforms cotton industry waste into something better. Our specialty is garments made from world-first 100% Reclaimed Waste Cotton.
Material innovation
Most recycled cotton starts with an existing garment or fabric, and is quick to mix in synthetics. We start further back in the supply chain, using the short cotton fibers, debris, and other waste left behind during yarn manufacturing.
Instead of becoming landfill, that trash is collected, cleaned, transformed, and spun into new yarn. The result is a world-first, completely biodegradable jersey and fleece with a dry, vintage-soft hand and slightly structured hang.
Made in Los Angeles, as always
At a time when less than 3% of apparel sold in the USA is made domestically, our supply chain is unusually close to home. Everything we produce is knit, sewn, cut and finished in fair-wage factories in Los Angeles, within a five-mile radius of our HQ.
Working with small, family-run manufacturing partners keeps people, production, and resources close together. It also lets us solve problems, make adjustments, and experiment in real time.The result is a supply chain designed not only to waste less, but to make better and more interesting things.
By the numbers
Making something from waste changes the equation from the beginning. Redirecting cotton waste that already exists avoids many of the agricultural inputs needed to grow and process virgin cotton, while making it closer to home shortens the journey. So far, we’ve diverted more than one million pounds of cotton waste from landfill.
In 2025 alone, using 100% Reclaimed Waste Cotton conserved 4.8 billion liters of water compared with virgin cotton. And while a conventional cotton T-shirt can travel roughly 39,000 miles across several continents before reaching you, a Trash Tee travels less than 2,500 miles—about 94% less. Together, it means a shorter journey, fair wages, and a hyperlocal supply chain here in the USA that we can see and trust from material to finished product.
