The nose behind this fragrance is Maxwell Williams, a perfumer and olfactory artist who creates unusual beautiful smells for people as UFO Parfums. Their work addresses the intersection of experimental handmade perfumery, contemporary art, music, global trade routes, heartbreak, and the psychology behind the hedonics of scent. They sit on the board of the Institute for Art and Olfaction.

When trying to imagine a perfume that makes as small a footprint as possible, there's a lot to consider. From sustainable materials and green-certified extraction methods to being hyper-aware of the supply chain. Our two fragrances, Normal Day and Desire Path, were created by serendipity. Made in true collaboration, with lots and lots of versions over several months. Finally, we landed on two scents that feel like an extension of who we are.

"I wanted to make very comfortable perfumes that are easy for anyone to wear," says Maxwell. "Both perfumes are for that personal place of love and comfort. They are two sides of the same coin, different but similar. Desire Path is a dusky, warmly spiced, woody and resinous perfume augmented by brushstrokes of grape, wild manuka flower, opoponax, chamomile, patchouli, cardamom, white florals, red mandarin, and Paraguayan petitgrain. Normal Dayis a morningbright, fizzy, ambery musk perfume buzzing with ambrette seed, orange blossom, osmanthus, pink peppercorn, and clary sage."
