Iris Alonzo with Prakash Gokalchand in 2016. Their beautiful, grounding relationship began years ago in MacArthur Park, where he'd sit each day playing chess with anyone who came along. We invited him to design something missing from his wardrobe for our inaugural Contributor Collection and instantly he had this checkered button-up shirt in mind.

To make our 100% Reclaimed Waste Cotton jersey and fleece textiles we collect tons of post-industrial waste that looks like this, then turn the fibers, dirt and tiny twigs into a new yarn without adding any synthetics, chemicals or water.
