Everybody.World is An Ongoing Experiment

We're constantly seeking new ways to approach sustainability in apparel. Our focus is on ethical manufacturing and textile innovation, specifically transforming waste into thoughtful goods made responsibly in fair wage factories.

To understand the beauty of a Trash Tee involves perceiving something exceptional in stuff that is otherwise considered quite ordinary (or worse, on its way to landfill).

We collect tons of post-industrial waste to make our 100% Recycled Cotton jersey and fleece textiles, turning those fibers, dirt and tiny twigs into a new yarn without adding any synthetics, chemicals or water.

The whole process takes place in North America, starting with the farms where the cotton is grown.

No virgin materials are used, and there's a smaller carbon footprint by way of being made regionally, with a traceable supply chain from seed to seal.

In reimagining and repurposing existing materials, we're able to channel centuries of skill for a new age. Creating clothing that's 100% enjoyable and designed to last, so you can buy less and wear longer.

This is Workers, Ecology, Ideas.

SHOP THE TRASH COLLECTION:
100% Recycled Cotton, 96% — 99.5% biodegradable (everything but the label and elastic!), made in Los Angeles by workers earning above the local minimum wage since 2016. A world first.

SHOP HECHO EN COLOMBIA:
50% Recycled Cotton, 42% sustainably-sourced cotton, 8% mixed waste fibers. Made at our partner factory in Medellin, Colombia where we're able to pay two to three times more than the local minimum wage and support a closed-loop manufacturing supply chain. A world first.

MEET OUR CONTRIBUTORS:
Our Contributor Collection centers around ideas from non-designers, like a chess playing spiritualist, chef, and gardener. It's a motley crew of people whose only common denominators are that they have great style and an idea for something missing from their lives, and their wardrobes. They receive 10% of the sales of their designs.
What's next?

Building sustainable futures means constantly asking ourselves: What is fair? What is sustainable? What is the future of fashion?

After five years operating as an independent small biz, we've learned a lot. As we plan for the next five and beyond, we remain committed to making thoughtful goods responsibly, without exploiting the planet's ecological health or the skilled people that make it happen.

Our online store and wholesale catalog are filled with gender neutral silhouettes that will endure year-round and for years to come.

We release new colors and styles with great care and unrushed time, and are not synced up with fashion's seasonal expectations.

This is a new model, considerate of how we make, use and reimagine materials, the supply chain, and consumption as a whole.

Thank you for reading, subscribing, browsing and shopping with us. No matter how big or small, every purchase makes you a literal investor in our company, and we appreciate you being along for the ride.

And to show you exactly where your money goes when you shop with us we traced every $1 spent in 2020 to where it was allocated in our business.

If you have ideas, questions, or just want to say hello, get in touch or follow along for the latest news.

We have jobs listed here for people seeking to build on our vision, and push our small business and big industry forward. If that sounds like you, introduce yourself!

We're interested in continuing the experiment and shaping a better future.
